Marked - A Book Review

Wanna prepare ‘The It List’ for yourself? Then books are a must!

I’m here with the first book review that tells the tale of a teenage vamp! 

This book is perfect for vamp nerdy teenagers, fans of the ‘Twilight Saga’, and a bibliophile in search of something offbeat.

The book I’m referring to is called “Marked by P.C. and Kristin Cast”.

Curiosity is one of the biggest assets of mankind. It is this curiosity that has pushed man to explore and discover new things; and write about mysterious, dark, and hidden worlds that may or may not even exist.

Marked is one such book where the author has explored a cryptic creature that only resides as a figment of imagination within our minds. Whether these cryptic creatures are real or just a myth is not known, yet we enjoy reading about it. I’m talking about Vampires.

Unlike Dracula, where vampires are displayed as the evil monsters of the night, Marked brings out colors in the life of a vampire. It describes a school only for vamps, where all fledglings undergo transitions and bloom into full-fledged vamps.

This book highlights the life of a teenager Zoey Redbird whose life turns upside down after being marked as a vampire fledging. She leaves her friends and family behind to join the vamp school called the ‘House of Night School’, where she stumbles upon the dark side of the school - if you fail you die. 

Marked is an excellent choice for those who love reading about mythical creatures and are fans of The Vampire Diaries….!
